2018 LIONS APPRECIATION BANQUET

As an appreciation for the hard work and time the Yaletown Lions District has dedicated to the club over the years, the Lions Club International Group has awarded us with the prestigious Melvin Jones Award. This banquet was a celebration of our efforts.

2017 GALA – OSCAR THEME

The annual Yaletown Lions Club Gala was held on Saturday June 3rd, 2017 at The Marine Drive Golf Club.

2016 GALA – MARDIS GRAS THEME

The Annual Lions Club Gala for 2016 was held at The Marine Drive Golf Club. Featuring elegant dining, drink, and costume options with great dancing and prizes to be had!

2015 GALA – DINNER EN BLANC

The 2015 Annual Lions Club Gala was held at the Sheraton Wall Center on Saturday June 13th. Complete with food, beverages, silent auction, and prize game fun. A record $66,000 was raised for the well deserved Yaletown community recipients!

2014 GALA – ROARING 20’S GATSBY

Held at The Fairmont Hotel in Richmond. Check out some of the pics below of this greatly successful Gatsby themed gala!

This gala raised an additional $6,985 to support our local Yaletown community members in need. Combined with ticket sales and sponsor donations, the total amount raised this year was $57,985! Another great year for the Yaletown Lions Club and their community suppourt. Thankyou to our sponsors and everyone who attended this fun filled event!

2011, 2012, 2013 GALA EVENTS

Held at the famous Hotel Vancouver Roof Restaurant. Included dinner and dance, 50/50 draw and silent auction with a large selection of prizes.

Proceeds donated to The Yaletown House Foundation and Elsie Roy Elementary School. Representatives from each community group spoke on the positive influence these funds have on their community organizations.

2010 GALA EVENT

In honour of Annette O’Shea, Executive Director, Yaletown Business Improvement Association, and her contribution to the community, the Yaletown Lions are pleased to host a Champagne Cruise on June 19, 2010 aboard the Burrard Queen. The evening’s arrangement includes a no host reception, a salmon and roast beef buffet, silent and live auctions as well as the Lions Award of Merit presentation to Ms. O’Shea.

Proceeds from the Yaletown Lions’ Champagne Cruise Gala will benefit three community charities: Yaletown House Foundation, Elsie Roy Elementary School and Helmcken Park. Please see attached information.

2009 GALA EVENT

The 2009 gala in honour of Mr. John Evans of the Trilogy Group raised $20,000 for the Yaletown House and $1,000 for The Lion’s International Campaign for Sight First ll. The event was held at Library Square Promenade and a great time was had by all! Thank you to everyone for participating!

2008 GALA EVENT

A total of $36,000 was donated to the Yaletown House for their building renovations and $4,000 to The Lion’s International Campaign for Sight First ll. This is a direct result of the fundraising gala in honour of Mr. Terry Hui of Concord Pacific. Thank you to everyone for your hard work organizing this event!
